Welcome to Avoncourt Lodge
Avoncourt Lodge is a peaceful, light and airy guest house and B&B in Ilfracombe, set on a quiet private road above the town with sea and harbour views from most rooms. We're just a short walk from Tunnels Beaches and the start of the South West Coast Path.
Our B&B in Ilfracombe is ideally located for walkers, cyclists, and anyone wanting to explore the glorious North Devon coastline. We're a 15-minute walk from the harbour and seafront, with Woolacombe Beach just 15 minutes by car and Exmoor National Park within 20 minutes.
We offer private parking, a drying room for wet gear, safe cycle storage, and a comfortable lounge with honesty bar — everything you need for a perfect Devon break. Most rooms feature full-length bathtubs, ideal for relaxing after a day on the coastal paths.
Dogs Are Welcome
We try to be pet friendly rather than simply pet tolerant. We can provide dog towels, dog treats and doggy bags if you've forgotten anything. We hope you and your dog will feel at home.
We're in ideal dog walking country, with access to the South West Coastal Path on our doorstep. We can advise you on which beaches allow dogs and which eating and drinking places welcome four-legged guests.
The charge for a dog is £6 per night, paid on departure.
